The national currency of Armenia is Armenian dram (AMD). In shops and other retail spots, trading is carried out only in AMD. Foreign currency can be exchanged for drams at special exchange offices or bank branches. Money exchange services are also provided at the reception of some hotels.
Here you can view the current exchange rate in real time, as well as find the nearest bank or exchange office. Exchange offices are open almost around the clock, while banks, as a rule, work until 17:00.
A small amount can be exchanged upon arrival at Yerevan International Airport, and the rest (at a more favorable rate) — in the city.
