Haghartsin is an Armenian monastery located in the Tavush region of Armenia, 18 km from Dilijan, in a wooded valley of the Ijevan mountain range. The monastery was built in the 11th-13th centuries.
The complex consists of three churches, two narthexes, a refectory and prayer houses. The oldest church is Surb Grigor, built in the 11th century. The main monastery church Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) was built in 1281. The church of Surb Stepanos, built in 1244, resembles the church of the Holy Mother of God, but is smaller in size.
On the territory there is a refectory built in 1248. Here was the royal burial vault of the Bagratuni family, from which tombstones with the names of kings Smbat and Gagik have been preserved.
